What is wrong with Windows?

The monopoly who makes and sells Windows products behaves like the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

In particular, the following except from one of Douglas Adams' books is an apt description of the Windows product line and the monopoly that markets it:

"... It is very easy to be blinded to the essential uselessness of (their products) by the sense of achievement you get from getting them to work at all. In other words - and this is the rock solid principle on which the whole of the (monopolistic) Corporation's Galaxy-wide success is founded - their fundamental design flaws are completely hidden by their superficial design flaws.''
